Jonathan Pollet with Red Tiger Security is interviewed by Fox News about SCADA Security and Hackers

Education, awareness, and outreach is part of our ongoing mission. While we were at the Hacker Halted conference in Miami, I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Fox News on a segment that was aired live on October 25th at 11:15 am.

It is available on the Fox News Live online site for those interested.

Thanks,
Jonathan

University of Houston Control Systems Security Lab Open House – Thursday, October 20th

Red Tiger Security has been working alongside with the University of Houston to develop a Control Systems Security Laboratory. The Control Systems Security Lab is the College’s latest addition to the Information Security program. This laboratory offers hands-on time with actual SCADA equipment and the opportunity to learn how to secure critical elements of our nation’s infrastructure.

Used in energy, pipelines, oil and gas, water, traffic control, aviation, manufacturing and many other critical infrastructure systems, control systems represent the interfaces between computers and the real world. Securing these devices has become increasingly important with the advent of the Internet to interconnect our systems and the subsequent host of threats that have appeared in the past few years.

This is an opportunity to engage with faculty in this new exciting security area. Come explore the equipment and the new education programs in SCADA security, Smart Grid and other control system related topics. Whether a current student, a potential student, or a local employer with control systems, this is the ideal opportunity to engage the faculty and explore the facilities that enable hands-on learning and research in this critical area.
