We invest a considerable amount of our company’s time and expenses in industry outreach and awareness, and we are active participants in over 30 industry events each year. Since 2001 we have seen a huge increase in the level of cyber security awareness and education that control system engineers, IT professionals, and operations managers now possess. The industry has elevated itself overall, and I find myself speaking to much more specific security issues now versus when we started many years ago. The average conference attendee is much more aware of the current threats.I hope that our continued efforts in getting the word out has collectively joined the other subject matter experts in this community to sound the alarm and hopefully get the attention that critical infrastructure, SCADA, and industrial control systems need.

We are honored that GOVCERT.NL has requested our participation in this upcoming symposium, and if your plans take you to the Amsterdam and Rotterdam area in the next week or two, drop us a line.

Cheers!
Jonathan

Red Tiger Security’s Jonathan Pollet featured on Duku Webcast with Walt Sikora and Joel Langill

On October 18, 2011, ICS-CERT issued an advisory related to the discovery of new malware – W32.Duqu – targeting industrial control systems. One year after revelations of Stuxnet came to light, the emergence of Duqu points to the continued need for vigilance in protecting critical infrastructure.

What does Duqu – and future zero-day threats – mean to your organization?  This interactive panel discussion was held with experts from Industrial Defender and Red Tiger Security on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11 am ET.  In this session, the panelists gave insights into how you can ready your organization to sustain security in the face of today’s threat environment.
